Pig Sales Agreement & Health Acknowledgment
Health Guarantee & Sales Terms
1. Health at Time of Sale
The seller affirms that this pig is in good health to the best of the seller’s knowledge at the time of sale. The pig has been eating, drinking, and behaving normally while in the seller’s care. The buyer is encouraged to inspect the pig and ask any questions before completing the purchase.
2. Health Guarantee
If the buyer believes the pig is ill within 72 hours of pickup, the buyer must notify the seller immediately and provide documentation from a licensed veterinarian. No refunds or replacements will be considered without veterinary documentation. The seller is not responsible for illness or injury that occurs after the pig leaves the seller’s care due to transportation, stress, changes in environment, feed, weather, or management practices.
3. Biosecurity
To protect the health of all animals, Ebenezer Farms practices strict biosecurity. Once a pig leaves the farm, it may not be returned to the property. Returned animals are not accepted under any circumstances.
4. Deposits & Reservations
A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a pig. The deposit will be applied toward the purchase price. If the buyer cancels the purchase or fails to complete payment within the agreed time frame, the deposit is forfeited. Reservations are confirmed only after the required deposit has been received.
5. Registration & Breeding
Registration paperwork, when applicable, will be provided after full payment has been received. Breeding-quality pigs are sold with the understanding that the buyer assumes responsibility for all future breeding, registration, and herd management decisions once the pig leaves Ebenezer Farms.
6. Castration
If requested and agreed upon before pickup, boar piglets may be castrated before leaving the farm. Once a pig has been picked up, all future management decisions, including castration, become the responsibility of the buyer.
7. Buyer Responsibility
The buyer acknowledges that proper housing, fencing, nutrition, clean water, and routine veterinary care are essential to the health and well-being of their pig. Ebenezer Farms is available to answer questions and provide guidance after the sale, but the buyer accepts full responsibility for the animal once it leaves the farm.
8. No Guarantee of Size, Color, or Performance
While every effort is made to accurately represent each pig, Ebenezer Farms cannot guarantee mature size, final coloration, growth rate, reproductive performance, or temperament, as these may be influenced by genetics, nutrition, environment, and management.
9. Agreement
By submitting a purchase form and completing the purchase, the buyer acknowledges that they have read, understand, and agree to the terms outlined in this Pig Sales Agreement & Health Acknowledgment.
