Matt
Ever since he can remember, Matt has dreamed of owning land and raising livestock. In fact, when we were first married, he often bought animals before we even had a place to keep them! His passion for farming has always been matched by his desire to do things the right way. Before choosing each breed we raise today, he spent years researching bloodlines, genetics, temperament, and the qualities that make them exceptional.
Today, Matt oversees our breeding program and handles many of the more technical aspects of raising livestock, including breeding decisions, disbudding goat kids, castrating piglets and lambs when needed, vaccinations, and overall herd management. His dedication to continually improving our animals has helped shape Ebenezer Farms into the farm we dreamed of building.

Mari
Unlike Matt, Mari always imagined herself living in the city. Before becoming a farmer, she worked for a high-fashion photographer in New York City and loved the fast-paced city life. But after marrying Matt, she discovered that her heart truly belonged among the rolling hills, wide-open spaces, and quiet country dirt roads.
Today, Mari is the one you’ll most often find bottle-feeding babies, caring for the animals each day, and giving them the love and attention they need to become friendly, well-socialized companions. She believes every animal deserves kindness, patience, and a great start in life, and her favorite part of farming is watching families fall in love with the animals she’s helped raise.
