OUR STORY

MATT AND MARI.jpeg

Ebenezer Farms began with a dream and a handful of backyard chickens in Clovis, California, in 2011. What started as a simple desire to raise our own animals and teach our children responsibility quickly became a passion for farming and a way of life.

In 2020, our family made the life-changing decision to move to Preston, Idaho, where we found the beautiful property we now call home. Surrounded by mountains, open fields, and room to grow, we knew we’d found the place where our family’s dream could truly begin.

The name Ebenezer Farms comes from 1 Samuel 7:12, where Samuel set up a stone of remembrance and called it Ebenezer, meaning “Stone of Help,” saying, “Thus far the Lord has helped us.” That scripture reminds us that every blessing, every opportunity, and every step that brought us here has come through God’s guidance. We chose the name as a daily reminder to never forget where our help comes from.

Today, we’re blessed to raise Nigerian Dwarf goats, Idaho Pasture Pigs, Babydoll Southdown sheep, and Dexter cattle. We strive to raise healthy, well-socialized animals while helping other families experience the joy and fulfillment that farm life has brought to ours.

But Ebenezer Farms is about more than selling livestock. Our vision is to create a place where families can connect with agriculture, make lifelong memories, and experience the peace and beauty of country life.

As we continue to grow, we hope to offer:

  • Goat soap

  • Handpainted farm cards

  • Summer camps

  • Goatscaping

  • Farm tours

  • Goat yoga

  • Educational field trips

  • Autumn Fest

  • Polar Express

  • Bed and Breakfast Cottages where families can experience life on the farm

  • Wedding and event venue

  • Steam engine train rides

Whether you’re looking for your next breeding animal, searching for a family pet, or simply wanting to spend time with our animals, we’re grateful you’ve found us. We hope that when you visit Ebenezer Farms, you leave feeling a little more connected—to the land, to the animals, and to the simple joys of farm life.

“Hitherto hath the Lord helped us.” – 1 Samuel 7:12
